As part of our Industrial Placement at National Grid, I was able to participate in a Presentation Skills training ran by Michael. Both the group workshop and 1:1 feedback given by Michael was extremely useful.

Michael was keen to understand what each of us individually wished to improve in our presenting skills, whether that was confidence in speaking or putting together clear and coherent slides. He offered an array of tools and tips in how to improve our work. We had opportunities to present to Michael and apply the tools he had taught us. We received technical feedback on both the slides and our own demeanour.

Michael ran an excellent presentations skills programme, including a half-day workshop and a 1-on-1 coaching session.

He helped the whole team build confidence throughout the session, and equipped us with tools and tips for planning and executing a professional talk or presentation.

The 1-on-1 session really accelerated the improvement of my presentation skills, and helped me gain confidence, by drilling down into what specific aspects I could build on, and especially with how to deal effectively with audience questions.

Last week had an opportunity to participate in Managers Training by Michael which has more than met my expectations. Great presentation style with lots of opportunities to ask questions and talk about real life examples which all made for really enjoyable, engaging and informative course.

I recently attended Michael’s 2 day ‘Train the Trainer’ course and I would highly recommend it to anyone who has to train others as part of their role.

It was held remotely however that didn’t hinder the course at all. Michael is extremely knowledgeable and gave multiple tips and tricks throughout the course on what to add, how to make training more engaging and especially for remote teaching which is a lot trickier than face to face.

I learnt lots on the course which I will definitely incorporate into my future training sessions. Thanks Michael!

Michael led a two day Train the Trainer course with participants from 3 continents and was very articulate and clear. He provided an excellent foundation upon which to build our presentation skills and offered many examples from his extensive career. He is very professional and approachable and easy to listen to and interact with. I highly recommend this workshop to anyone interested in training or presentation skills.

Michael’s “Train the Trainer” session was one of the best things I have taken part in to give myself confidence in how to train others, from the preparation stage to the time given to each session, the smallest of details can make the biggest difference to retention of information. This has given me a huge boost and am really grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from Michael.

I attended the ‘business writing skills’ course, where Michael was the instructor. Considering, that this was the first time I have attended a class in such a format I was slightly sceptical about how effective it would be.
A few minutes into the course and my concerns were slowly fading away as the content seemed highly interesting and the instructor was very knowledgeable and provided a wealth of information. Michael worked constantly towards engaging with all the participants throughout the course and did a great job pacing everything and accurately addressing student questions.
It was most definitely a great pleasure attending Michael’s course and I would highly recommend this course to anyone.
